TakeHome doesn't ask for your name, email or employer, and the figures you enter stay on your device. Last updated 5 October 2026.

What you enter stays on your device

All calculations run in your browser. The salary and other details you enter are never sent to TakeHome. To save you retyping, your browser's local storage keeps:

  • your last pay calculator inputs
  • the salary you last entered, which the other calculators start from
  • your chosen chart type and light or dark theme

This stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere. Reset all on the pay calculator forgets the salary, and clearing your browser's data for takehome.com.au removes everything.

Share links

If you use Share link, your inputs are encoded in the web address. Anyone you give the link to can see them.

Website analytics

TakeHome uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies or identify you. It reports totals such as page views, the sites that sent visitors, countries, browsers and how quickly pages load.

Hosting

Cloudflare hosts TakeHome. Like any web host, it processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you request to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising

TakeHome is supported by ads from Google AdSense.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Email

If you email hello@takehome.com.au, TakeHome receives your email address and message through Cloudflare Email Routing. They're used only to reply to you, and you can ask for your messages to be deleted.

Your choices

  • Clear your browser's data for takehome.com.au to remove anything stored on your device.
  • Opt out of personalised ads using the links above.
  • Email to ask what TakeHome holds about you (only emails you've sent) or to have it deleted.

Changes

If anything here changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top changed.
